Celebrating a Century: Generations at Applewood Hosts Centenarian Gala

Generations at Applewood recently rolled out the red carpet for a truly extraordinary occasion: our Centenarian Gala! The celebration honored five remarkable residents who have already turned—or will turn—100 years old this year.

Residents gathered alongside family members, friends, and staff for an unforgettable afternoon filled with live music, laughter, photographs, and meaningful moments. Everyone dressed their best for the occasion, wearing beautiful outfits generously donated by local churches and residents’ families. Our dedicated staff helped residents prepare for the gala by assisting with makeup and manicures, ensuring everyone felt as special as they looked.

The highlight of the celebration was recognizing our five centenarians and the incredible milestone each has reached. A century of life represents countless memories, experiences, lessons, and moments shared with loved ones. It was an honor to bring our community together to celebrate their remarkable lives.

At the conclusion of the gala, each centenarian received a special gift basket filled with thoughtful gifts to commemorate the occasion. Plenty of photos were taken throughout the celebration, capturing the smiles, elegant attire, and joy that filled the room.

We are grateful to the families, local churches, staff members, performers, and everyone else who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, we thank our centenarians for allowing us to share in such a monumental milestone.
