The activities promote structuring of leisure time and provide opportunities of choice, so that the residents have control of their daily lives.<\/p>\n<p>From sing-a-longs to bingo, video games to movies, Generations at Applewood provides residents with their favorite activities while introducing advanced means of stimulating their minds and bodies. Daily activities take place from 9am to 5:30pm. Schedules are posted in common areas,\u00a0dining rooms, and in every resident&#8217;s room. Activities can include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maintenance Activities:<\/strong> Activities that maintain the resident\u2019s skills, both cognitive and physical.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Empowerment Activities:<\/strong> Activities that offer opportunities for volunteering at Generations\u00a0and in the community.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Supportive Activities:<\/strong> Activities that lend support to those residents that may have diminished skills and need adaptive programs, or 1:1 programs to meet their needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Throughout the year, there are a number of social activities including cooking classes, live entertainers, or arts and crafts. Residents have also started some of their own special groups that meet weekly.<\/p>\n<p>Generations at Applewood has hosted many special events throughout the years. We also have many special guests and entertainers who perform for us on a regular basis. Our holiday events and birthday parties are in no way ordinary \u2013 we make every special event an occasion that won\u2019t be forgotten!<\/p>\n<p>We give our residents the opportunity to lead a very full and happy life here at Generations at Applewood.
